THE DAY THE MUSIC DIED....
My First Love - Jerry was a handsome talented young man.  He began playing the saxaphone at the young age of 4.  He mastered it by his early teens and started a band called the Coronadoes.  In his band was Rick Stockwell, Bob Staton and Bill Goddard.  They played at area clubs and local dances.  Later they went on to win the Battle of the Bands in Detroit Michigan's State Fair.  Not much later they cut three records on different recording labels.  The later Label was Motowns popular Dot Label.  Radio Dj's were beginning to push the latest recording on the West Coast.  The song tittle was, "Center of Attraction"  Success was headed their way but it was not to be.  Instead Jerry enlisted in the Army and into the 101st Airborne Division.  He went to Viet Nam in June of 1966 and died July 27th 1966.  Most certainly for me, It was surely the Day the Music died. Written by widow Christine.
