Respect at Our Annual Flag Retirement Ceremony
Our Annual Flag Retirement Service was held at the Legion’s firepit last night, showcasing a solemn and dignified ceremony led by the Boys Scouts. An essential tradition, the flag retirement ceremony serves as a respectful means to dispose of unserviceable U.S. flags, including those that are torn, faded, or badly worn. In addition to honoring the nation’s symbol, this event symbolizes the values of respect, patriotism, and proper flag etiquette. We thank all those that came out, including our community partners, Mayor Fleisher, Town Councilman DiRenzio and CHPD.
