American Legion Baseball 2015 Season
The 2015 Season was another great year for Post 372 American Legion Baseball Program. The Junior Cherry Hill Black Team (17&U) won the State Championship defeating Newtown Post 86 in 15 innings (score 2-0). The Senior Team (19&U) finished third in the Camden County League composed of 12 teams with a record of 19 wins and 7 loses..
The Senior Team has 17 of its 18 players going to college this fall and all will be playing baseball at college. A number of these players will have baseball scholarships as a result of their American Legion Playing experience and exposure. The Senior Team qualified for the State Tournament and was eliminated in the District Tournament in an extra inning game (12 innings) by Hopewell Post 339 (score of 9-8).
There were six Post 372 Teams in total this past summer – 1 Senior Team (19&U), 3 Junior Teams (17&U) and 2 15& Under Teams. A Total of 102 young men wore the Post 372 Uniform this year. Players were mostly from Cherry Hill with additional players from Haddonfield, Maple Shade, Cinnaminson, and Delran.
The Junior Team finished 5th in the Junior League of 12 teams with a record of 12 wins & 10 loses and qualified for the league playoffs beating Gibbsboro Post 371. They went on to win the South District Tournament beating both Hillsborough and Gloucester Township Post 281 and advanced to the State Finals.
