Veteran and Active Military Membership at Post 372
The American Legion, founded in 1919, is the largest U.S. veterans organization with more than 1.6 million members who strengthen the nation through programs, services and advocacy for those who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces, youth and communities. The American Legion operates worldwide with over 12000 individual "Posts". By becoming a member (aka Legionnaire) of the American Legion Post 372 of Cherry Hill NJ you are joining us in our commitment to mentoring youth and sponsorship of wholesome programs in our communities, advocating patriotism and honor, promoting strong national security, and continued devotion to our fellow servicemembers and veterans.
If you have served at least one day of active military duty since December 7, 1941 and were honorably discharged or you are still serving active military duty honorably, you are eligible for membership with The American Legion.

Some of our Post 372 Legionnaires Annual Events include Memorial Day Services, Flagging of Veterans Graves, Veterans Day Services, Youth Art Contest, Boys State, Legion Youth Baseball, NJ American Legion Statewide Services Host and Flag Retirement Ceremonies. The Auxiliary and SAL's are active in participating in these events.

Sons of the American Legion Post 372
The Sons of the American Legion Post 372, commonly known as the S.A.L.'s, is a program under the American Legion, tracing its origins back to 1932. They are compromised of family members of our veterans. With a primary focus on serving their Community, State, and Nation, these individuals work to uphold the core values of the American Legion. They extend a helping hand to veterans of the U.S., honoring their sacrifice and standing as pillars of support within their communities.
To be eligible to join the SALs, you must be a male descendant (includes stepsons and adopted sons) of a member of The American Legion. You would also be eligible to join if you are the male descendant (stepsons and adopted sons included) of a veteran who died in service since December 7, 1941. Additionally, you would be eligible to join the Sons of The American Legion if you are the male descendant (stepsons and adopted sons included) of a veteran who died subsequent to his or her honorable discharge from service having served since December 7, 1941.

SAL Meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 7:00pm. There are no formal meetings in June, July or August. Sometimes Family Day preplanning meetings are held in the summer. Please check with officer prior to meeting dates to make sure it is still scheduled.
Some of our Post 372 SAL's Annual Events include Family Day and Log Splitting, and occasional fundraisers to benefit our veterans and community, along with participating in the Post 372 Legionnaires events.

Auxiliary Unit of Post 372
American Legion Auxiliary Units exist in more than 8,000 local communities in the USA and in foreign countries. Founded in 1919 during the first National Convention of The American Legion, the ALA has grown to be one of the largest veterans support organizations. Patriotism and veterans advocacy are very important to our Cherry Hill NJ American Legion Post 372 Auxiliary Unit and we’ve been serving, educating, and giving to America’s finest — our military. We answer the call of Service Not Self.
Membership is for male and female spouses, grandmothers, mothers, sisters, and direct and adopted female descendants of veterans. If your qualifying veteran is alive, he/she must be a member of the American Legion.

Some of our Post 372 Auxiliary Annual Events include the Children's Christmas Party, Holiday Food Drive, Toy/Pet Drive, Girls State and Home for the Brave visit. The Post 372 Auxiliary holds several fundraisers throughout the year to benefit our veterans and community, and the Auxiliary participates in the Post 372 Legionnaires events.

Legion Riders of Post 372
The American Legion Riders chapters are well known for their charitable work, which has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for local children's hospitals, schools, veterans homes, severely wounded servicemembers and scholarships. American Legion Post 372 has a Legion Riders Chapter.
You must be a member of the American Legion (General, SAL or Aux) to join the Legion Riders. For more information and application, contact Steve Lina at slina75@verizon.net

An annual event of the Post 372 Legion Riders is the NJ Run for the Fallen which is held in September. They often participate in local Welcome Homes and Honor Missions, which are run by different organizations such as Warriors Watch.

CANTEEN & Kitchen for MEMBERS
For the enjoyment of our members, we have a bustling Canteen, Game Room and kitchen. Always a great time with our bartenders Robin, Jimmy, Bobby D, Josh, Janine, Patty and Dave ! We have 6 Big Screen TV's, Fireplace, Pull Tab Machines, Lottery, Pool Table, Shuffleboard, JukeBox, smoking area outside, along with picnic tables. The Legionnaires (our veterans) run and make this "perk" possible for our Members.
We also have OUTSTANDING Food by CHEF PATTI. Generally speaking the kitchen hours are Tuesday - Friday, 12noon-6pm. Call ahead to see if the kitchen is open 856-665-3389 and be sure to check out the Kitchen Facebook Page for specials, menus, closures and more.
Our bartenders often run canteen events for the enjoyment of our members. See below for upcoming canteen events.
