Passing of Ernest Brosh – Past Commander “Ernie”
It is with deep sadness we report the passing of Past American Legion Post 372 Commander, Ernie Brosh ,on Wednesday, February 21st, 2024. He was a proud Air Force veteran and had many interesting stories to share.
He was a member of American Legion Post 372 for 50 years - holding numerous officer positions, including Post COMMANDER, Vice Commander and other positions. His passion for our veterans was apparent in all he did – including collaborating with numerous welcome homes, being a committee member of Traveling Vietnam Wall, an editor for the Legion “Scoop” newsletter for over 10 years, interviewing and selecting young men for the Legion Boys State Program, involvement in the selection process of Legion Scholarships, maintenance and beautifying the Legion grounds and everything in between. Although his health has deteriorated over the last handful of years, he is and was an integral part of our Legion and local veteran community – helping all with a smile and always true to the mission.
We are hopeful our membership will come pay respects at his funeral. We cannot forget our veteran heroes that have made our Post what it is today. Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Saturday, March 2, 2024 from 8:00 AM until 10:00 AM with a Time of Sharing starting at 9:00 AM at the John F. Online OBIT Below;
Ernie served as Staff Sergeant in the US Air Force in the original U2 Unit. He was also a member of the Glee Club and black belt on the Judo Team. His motto was for God and Country as he served as Commander of American Legion Post #372 along with many other positions.
He was President of The Palmer Social Club and Captain of their rough touch football team. He tried out for the Phillies and loved The Shore. He enjoyed making people laugh but most of all he wanted everyone to know how much he loved, supported and cared about them.
