It is with deep regret we inform you of the passing of Russell Messick, who was the fiance of Post 372 General Member Victoria Gable. Our thoughts and prayers are with her during this difficult time. OBIT and Funeral Services below;

Russell Wayne Messick of Blenheim, age 45, passed away suddenly on January 26, 2023. Age 45.

Beloved son of Judy (nee Rowand) and the late Robert E. Messick, Jr. Loving fiancé of Victoria Gable. Devoted brother of Robert E. Messick, III (Kathryn), Thomas Messick (Ashley) and Amanda Valencia (Jammes). Dear uncle of Victoria, Kenny, Lyla, Kali, Elizabeth, T.J., Bobbie, Jammeson, Wyatt and Russell. Cherished nephew of Charles Rowand (Joyce), Susan Rowand-Coppola (Martin), Roberto Frullo (Bert), George Rowand (Gabbi) and Eleanor Shepard (Bob). Also survived by many cousins, dear friends, and club brothers.

Russell was born in Washington Township on June 11, 1977, to Bob & Judy Messick. He was a special baby boy who needed to be held for 17 months. As a young child he was adventurous, and explored every woods through Deptford and Blackwood with his brothers. He was especially fascinated when he found abandoned cars or a crashed plane. He had a distaste for healthy food that lasted him, well, to last week. He was close with his parents and siblings and they enjoyed every minute of his presence... well almost every minute. He was stubborn but had a heart of gold. His love for cars and motorcycles grew throughout his teenage years. He spent most of his free time wrenching on cars with his Dad and brothers, or at a car show with his family and friends. At fifteen he worked at a car upholstery shop and became a master. He graduated CCVTS certified in auto body. Russ spent his career in auto body and was known in South Jersey as one of the best.

In 2008, he became a member of the Hawg Ridin' Fools M.C. This was so much more than a club to him, these members became an extended family to Russ, as he became known, and loved by them as "Porkroll" FFFF.

Though he had no kids of his own (that he knew about), he was an incredible uncle to all of his nieces, nephews and extended family. This past year was the best year of his life, as he got engaged and was planning his wedding with his new fiancée, Victoria.

Russ was always the life of the party, and a source of knowledge, history, and crazy stories. He will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

There will be a viewing from 9:30 to 12:30pm Saturday morning, February 4, 2023 at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, RUNNEMEDE.

Funeral service 12:30pm at the funeral home.

Interment Waterford Memorial Park, Waterford Works.
