In honor of the 50th Anniversary of the Vietnam War, Camden County is hosting a 4 day commemorative event to thank and honor all veterans of the Vietnam Era and their families for their service and sacrifice.

Wednesday, September 4, 2019
– Motorcycle Escort brings the AVTT Traveling Wall to Veterans Island, Cooper River Park, Pennsauken, NJ. If interested in participating in the Motorcycle Escort of the Truck bringing the Wall in, meet at T/A Truckstop, 171 Berkley Rd, Paulsboro, NJ at 3pm on Wednesday, Sept 4th. Departure will be 3:30pm and we will proceed to Veterans Island, Cooper River Park, Pennsauken, NJ. 

Thursday, September 5, 2019
– 6pm – Vietnam Veteran Pinning and Medal Ceremony – Location: Stadium. Join Camden County in welcoming home our Vietnam Veterans with a pinning and medal ceremony. For more info, click here

Friday, September 6, 2019
– 6:30pm – Candlelight Remembrance Vigil for our Fallen – Location: Veterans Island, in front of the Traveling Wall – Vigil will be held at the Traveling Vietnam Wall to Honor our Camden County residents that made the ultimate sacrifice in Vietnam. All are welcome to attend to honor those that died.

If you are a Family member, friend, comrade or schoolmate of one of our 89 Camden County residents who made the ultimate sacrifice in Vietnam, please RSVP for VIP seating.  Roses, Candles & Flags will be provided to be placed at the Wall. CLICK HERE to RSVP.

Saturday, September 7, 2019
– 10am – 4pm – Veterans Resource Fair, Family Fun and Concert – 10am -4pm – Stadium. Enjoy a day of family fun with a veterans resource fair, rides, educational activities, and a concert featuring the Tri-County Symphonic Band and Gary Puckett and the Union Gap.

Sunday, September 8, 2019
– 9/11 Heroes Run and Closing Ceremony – The 9/11 Heroes Run 5k +1M fun run/walk welcomes runners, ruckers, and walkers of all levels and of all ages. For more information, click here
