2015 Post 372 Players win Baseball Scholarships
This year we have 4 winners of baseball scholarships:
The John R. Huhn III Memorial Scholarship is being awarded to Carter Fichter who played 3 years for our Senior Team – Carter is attending Rutgers at Camden and is a Pitcher on that college team. Jack Huhn was Post 372 Commander for 13 years and help start the Post 372 Baseball Program in 1989.
The Thomas Goldy Sr. Memorial Scholarship is being awarded to Christian DeLuca who played 2 years on our Senior Team – Christian is attending Philadelphia University of Sciences and will play Outfield for that college team. Tom Goldy was the Post 372 Commander 2000 – 2006 and did a great deal to help support and grow the Post 372 Baseball Program.
The Lance Peck Memorial Scholarship is awarded to Brennan Taylor who played shortstop for us this year. Brennan is attending Widener College and will play on that college team. Lance Peck was a Coach on the Post 372 Team for 22 years and passed away due to a worksite accident in 2014.
The Joseph DiFante American Legion Baseball Scholarship is being awarded to Charles Clarke who has played on our Senior Team for 3 years. Charles is attending Gettysburg College and will play Outfield for that college team. Joe DiFante was a past Camden County American Legion Baseball Chairman who passed away in 2014.
