Alberta “Bert” I. Smith-Devlin (nee Mench) passed away peacefully on March 19, 2015 at JFK Hospice in Stratford, NJ. Born in Philadelphia, Alberta was 70 years old. She was a resident of Maple Shade for 16 years and formerly lived in Juniata Park section of Philadelphia. Alberta was employed at URL Mutual.  Beloved wife of 9 years to Martin F. Smith, Sr. Loving mother of Karen (Michael) Volpe and  James Devlin. Grandmother of Michael John Volpe. Also surviving are many sisters, nieces, nephews and family members. Bert is preceded in death by her first husband James Devlin.

Family and friends are gathering Monday, March 23rd, between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. at Inglesby/Givnish of Maple Shade, 600 East Main Street. Family and friends are invited to come back to the American Legion, 1532 Martin Ave., Cherry Hill,  for a luncheon afterwards.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Alberta Smith’s name, may be made to the American Legion Post #372, 1532 Martin Ave. Cherry Hill, NJ 08002
