Simeon Toronto of Andover, Minn., was elected the 67th president of Boys Nation over the summer.

Simeon Toronto, president of the 2013 Boys Nation class, will be featured Saturday night on a Minnesota news program that tells stories of “perseverance, tenacity and attitudes.”
“Life to the Max,” a weekly program aired on WCCO out of Minneapolis, will profile Toronto during one of its three segments about local individuals who have done extraordinary things. To learn about the program and to see past profiles, visit lifetothemax.tv on the web.

The episode, which airs at 11:05 p.m. Central Time, visits Toronto at his high school in Andover, Minn., and details his experiences at Boys Nation and Minnesota Boys State. The program outlines his journey through the Legion’s youth leadership program, beginning with him being elected as governor of his Boys State program and ending with him meeting the president of the United States. Toronto will be featured alongside Marvin Schwan, the man who founded the home-food delivery company that would eventually become Schwan’s, and a local photography company that has provided volunteer aid to Kosovo since war erupted there in the 1990s.

Toronto won the presidency at the 2013 Boys Nation as a delegate from the Federalist Party. He used a platform of kindness and strong character to win a majority of the vote and become the 67th president of Boys Nation.
