On June 23, 2008, thirty year old Capt Gregory Dalessio of Cherry Hill, NJ was killed on his second tour of duty in Iraq. He died of wounds sustained in Salman Pak, Iraq, when his patrol encountered small arms fire during combat operations.

Army Capt. Gregory T. Dalessio, age 30, of Cherry Hill, NJ was killed June 23, 2008. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 6th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division, Baumholder, Germany. He died in Baghdad of wounds sustained in Salman Pak, Iraq, when his patrol encountered small arms fire during combat operations.
